NEW GOLF RULES – EFFECTIVE 1ST JANUARY 2019

The R&A and Golf Australia have developed a series of resources to help the club’s administrators and members transition to the new Rules of Golf when they take effect on 1 January 2019.  We advise that the are many resources  now available from www.golf.org.au/newrules. We encourage all members to visit the following links for some useful videos & posters on the changes. 1-minute videos – www.golf.org.au/newrules#videos.  These bite-sized videos are very well produced and an excellent resource. Flyers and posters – www.golf.org.au/newrules#flyers.  The poster sets out all of the key information a golfer needs to know to be ready when the new Rules take effect on 1 January 2019. There was also significant interest received previously when Massey Park Golf Club hosted a Rules of Golf Night for members in April, 2018. As a result of this interest and in view of upcoming changes to the Rules of Golf that will take effect on the 1st Jan, 2018 we are pleased to advise that we will be hosting another Rules Night on Thursday 6th December, 2018, @ 7pm. All members are invited to attend this informative evening. The workshop will be facilitated by Dave Hilton who has State Level rules accreditation. If you’re serious about your golf and want to know more about the Rules of Golf, it would certainly be worthwhile attending.  Attendance is FREE. The Family Brasserie will be open and we encourage members who wish to have dinner beforehand to arrive early so as to minimise interruption to the rules presentation. Richie Lee...
