The women of Massey Park Golf Club held their annual charity Gala Day on Wednesday 9 July. With an 8am shotgun start the field of nearly 100 players set off in freezing conditions, but spirits were high and friendships warm as they were raising funds for Ovarian Cancer Australia.
The event raised $13,000 which will go towards Ovarian Cancer Australia’s awareness programs, supporting women and their families affected by ovarian cancer, and the national research program.
The 4BBB Par event was won with an impressive score of +13 by Litsa Ward (Massey Park) and Jane Corke (Windsor), and the scratch event was won by Massey Park member Dawn Connellan and Sharon Scarr.
The Massey Park Women extend a huge thank you to all the individuals and local businesses who so generously donated prizes and sponsorship, and to the staff, members and visitors for 
making it so worthwhile and enjoyable.
